They are said to have climbed into the Andes Mountains from the eastern forests calling themselves “children of the sun”. According to their favorite legend. Manco Capac, the founder of the race, came out of Lake Titicaca in Peru with his sister who was also his wife. The sun god was said to have given into the ground in other words, where the ground was fertile. This city was given the name Cuzco, meaning navel, because the Incas regarded it as the centre of the earth.

Major-general James Wolfe was only 32 years old when commanded by the British Prime Minister, William Pitt, to capture Quebec from the French during the seven years war. The capture of the city lying on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in eastern Canada, would open the way for the over-throw of the French forces in North America. For three months in the summer of 1759, Wolfe attempted to overcome the French by frontal attack from across the river but the defenders held an almost impregnable position.

December 21st, 2008Itanagar is the capital city of the Arunachal Pradesh state, India. This city is situated at the foothills with the height of 350 meters above the sea level. The Itanagar area is occupied by the tribes called Nishis or Nishings. Itanagar can also be called as mini India, were people of all states of India live here. There are many deserving places to see in Itanagar.
Ganga Lake is a legendry lake. It lies 6 kilometers away from the Itanagar and it is a very beautiful picnic spot. The lake is surrounded by primal vegetation, tree ferns, orchid masses on tall trees, providing divine atmosphere.
The Buddhist temple in Itanagar was consecrated by Dalai Lama. The shrine is furnished by beautiful yellow roofs, which reflects the influence if Tibet style. This temple provides good view of Itanagar.
Jawaharlal Nehru State Museum offers a kaleidoscope view of Arunachal Pradesh. Fine piece of wood carvings, musical instruments, handicrafts, textiles and archeological finds are kept for display. It bears a section for library also.
Itanagar can be reached though bus from Banderwala, Tezpur(Assam), North Lakhmipur and Guwahati(Assam). Tezpur and Lilabari is the nearest airport.
